Schooner WYANDOTTE, struck by lightning off Racine, foremast damaged.
      Buffalo Morning Express
      March 11, 1861. (Casualty List, 1860)

      The schooner WYANDOTTE, belonging to E.B. Ward, was struck by lightning
last Thursday night, when off Racine. Her foretopmasts were shattered, and nearly
the entire crew prostrated to the deck, although no one was severely injured. The
vessel managed to reach Chicago, wither she was bound.
