Propeller EVERGREEN CITY, broke machinery in a gale on Lake Erie, anchored off Fairport and rode out the gale.

      The propeller EVERGREEN CITY broke her machinery in the gale on Sunday last
and came to anchor in the open lake off Fairport, where she rode out the gale.
She will be towed into Cleveland. She was bound up with merchandise.
