Schooner O.V. BRAINARD, ashore at Oakville, Lake Ontario. Got off.

DISASTERS ON LAKE ONTARIO.- By telegraph to Capt. E.P. Dorr, we learn that
the following vessels are ashore at Oakville, Canada. It must have been a heavy gale
from N.E., Friday and Saturday night, barometer standing at 29 degrees. We shall
doubtless hear of many more disasters.
      Ashore at Oakville - Brig GEM, of Kingston, Canada; schooner GREAT WESTERN,
of Hamilton, Canada; schooner ANTELOPE, of Hamilton; schooner WESTERN MILLER,
of Bronte, Canada; schooner O.V. BRAINARD, Oswego. We have no further particulars
Assistance has been sent to them.

      DISASTERS ON LAKE ONTARIO. - Yesterday at Oakville the schooner GREAT
WESTERN was got off. The ANTRLOPE, BRAINARD and GEM are still aground, but
not so much injured yet. The steam tug PAIGE from Oswego is here to assist.

      The schooner ANTELOPE, that went ashore at Oakville, C.W., last week, was
got off by the tug E.P. DORR, that went from here to assist her.
      The schooners GEM and O.V. BRAINARD, that were also ashore at the same
place, would probably be got off at once as contracts for so doing had been

      GOT OFF. - The schooner BRAINARD, ashore at Oakville, C.W., on Lake Ontario
has been got off and inside the bay all right. The GEM, ashore at the same place, is to
