Quickest Trip On Record. - The schooner Gem, Capt. J.H. Redfield, of this city, arrived at this port yesterday at half-past 12 o'clock, with a cargo of corn. The Gem has made the trip from here to Chicago and back, in twenty six days and a few hours, which is conceded to be the quickest time every made.

On the upward passage the Gem landed 500 bbls. of water lime at Detroit, from here, thence went to Ashley and took on 147,000 feet of lumber, bound to Chicago. The Gem is owned in Chicago, but it takes the Oswego "skippers" to put 'em through.
