YORK STATE Schooner, lost a man overboard off Rondeau, Lake Erie.

Jerry Leary, a seaman employed on board the schr. YORK STATE, was lost overboard and from that vessel when off Rondeau Pt. on Saturday morning. While letting go the anchor he was caught in the buoy rope and with it went overboard. All efforts to save him were of no avail as he did not rise to the surface after sinking in the water. His residence was at Buffalo, where he leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss.
