      Jan. 22, 1862. Casualty List, 1861

      . . . . .

DISABLED.---The schooner PAULINE, bound from Buffalo to Racine, with a cargo
of pig iron and salt, came into port on Saturday, having been partially disabled by a
collision with the schooner ATHENIAN, in the Straits, and in coming up the river was
run into by the propeller PRAIRIE STATE, near Walker's Point Bridge, and was badly
damaged. The propeller had her wheel-house smashed, while the schooner received an
ugly jam in her starboard bow, making a big hole above the water line. - Milwaukee
