The Improvement of the Trent Navigation - We have now the satisfaction of announcing to the publick that this great and most important undertaking is going into immediate operation. The Commissioners appointed to superintend the completion of the work will meet on Saturday next, at Cobourg, for the purpose of adopting the most advisable course of proceeding in giving out the contracts. It is highly gratifying to the true friends of the country to learn that the debentures of the Trent navigation are negotiated and taken up by capitalists within the colony, which circumstances affords a convincing proof that the proposed improvement is generally viewed in a favourable light, and that the purchase of its debentures is considered a safe investment for the capitalist. - Kingston Chron. & Gaz.
