LAKE DISASTER--The brig Amagon loaded with flour and corn while attempting to enter the port in the gale on Tuesday, drifted on the beach near the pier but was not in great danger.

The schooner Rough and Ready struck the south pier on entering port, and afterwards drifted on the north pier. She was extricated from her position.

The schooner Marion ran on to an anchor near the end of the pier and sunk.

The schooner Gazette came into port on Wednesday night, with her foreboom, and jaws of her fore gaft carried away.
