Chatham, August 12 - The propeller Quebec, of Beatty's Sarnia & Lake Superior Mail Line, was successfully launched at four o'clock this afternoon from Chisholm & Simpson's shipyard. Over 2,000 people were present. Her dimensions are: length 200 feet, breadth 34 feet, depth 14 feet. She is supplied with double cylinder engines, 800 horse power, was built at St.Catharines, Ont., by G.N. Oille, has accommodation for 150 cabin passengers, and also fine steerage accommodation. She will be under the command of Capt. E. Anderson, and Thomas Pettigrene as chief engineer.
