RESOLUTE Schooner, struck a rock in Erie Basin and sprung a leak.
      Marine Disasters of the Western
Lakes during 1871, Capt. J.W. Hall

The schr. RESOLUTE, which completed her load of paving stone in the Erie Basin Saturday afternoon, while passing out of the Basin struck a sunken rock with considerable force. After proceeding up the bay some distance it was discovered that she was leaking badly. A tug was signalled and the schooner was towed back to the harbor, when she sunk between the piers. Yesterday morning she was pumped out and taken up the creek to the dry dock.
