THE TUGS MARTIN AND BROCKWAY COLLIDE. - On Friday evening a collision took place at Point Au Pelee, between the tugs BROCKWAY and JOHN MARTIN, both steamers sustaining severe damages. The BROCKWAY's injuries are on the starboard side, near the bluff of her bow. The MARTIN's injuries, which are by far the most serious, are on her stem, which is badly out of shape, and will doubtless require her going into dry-dock for repairs. At the time of the collision, our informant, a looker-on, states that both tugs were engaged in picking up a tow, and while running for the same vessel the collision took place. The MARTIN has arrived here for repairs. The BROCKWAY passed up this morning with a tow of three vessels, and will probably repair at Port Huron. - Detroit Post.

On Friday evening last, the tugs GEORGE E. BROCKWAY and JOHN MARTIN collided at Point aux Pelee. The BROCKWAY, as we are informed was steaming after a vessel, as was also the MARTIN. The latter named craft when observed was bearing toward the BROCKWAY and whistles were sounded for her to keep off. The night was not very dark but by some mistake the MARTIN kept on her course. The captain seeing that a collision was inevitable, sheered away and the MARTIN struck her on the starboard quarter, suffered severe damage and getting her stem badly twisted. The MARTIN proceeded immediately to Detroit and went into dry-dock and the BROCKWAY came to this port and is now lying at Fitzgerald & Leighton's yard for repairs.
