BRIG SAXON ASHORE - Port Robinson, Ont. Nov. 13. - The brig SAXON, of Oswego, went ashore on Friday night, two miles southwest of Long Point. Light vessel; total loss. The crew were saced.

      TO SAVE THE SAXON. - The tug VULCAN left Detroit Wednesday with a party of wreckers and the coast Wrecking Co.'s schooner H.W. JOHNSON, in tow for Long Point, to rescue the brig SAXON, ashore at that place. The vessel, though well up in years, it is thought, may yet be recovered.

      AFFAIRS AT LONG POINT. - The brig SAXON, ashore at Long Point, has gone to pieces.
      Also
      WRECKING EXPEDITION TO LONG POINT. - We are indebted to Capt. D.P. Dobbins
for the following particulars of this expedition:
Capt. Jno. Rice, Marine Inspector, left Detroit Nov. 15th on a wrecking expedition with the tug VULCAN and schooner JOHNSON.... Went to the brig SAXON on shore, found her abandoned and a total wreck.....

The expedition set out to rescue the brig SAXON ashore at Long Point has returned. The vessel is a total wreck. Whe wreckers found on the shore the schooner RESOLUTE in the same locality with one of the sailors who had perished while lashed to the timberhead. They also rescued the schooner C.A. KING from the beach.
