Found - During Eli Higgins' repairs to Lock No. 3, he discovered a black looking object near the surface of the water, which proved to be a large stick of square oak timber. He hauled it out, and it now lies on the bank awaiting an owner.

Mr. Higgins will have the work on Lock No. 3 completed sometime during the present week. He has made an excellent job of it.
