A dispatch from Port Colborne says: The schr. ALFRED ALLEN, of Oswego, with 3,000 barrels salt on board for Toledo, went ashore off here in a snow storm on Wednesday night, and will probably be a total loss.

The captain of the schr. ALFRED ALLEN, ashore 10 miles west of Port Colborne, reports her bottom gone.

Capt. Palmer informs us that the schr. ALFRED ALLEN will have to be jacked up and launched from her present position on Rock Island. During the gale last week she was lifted so far up that tugs are of no use. The schr. WM. RAYNOR is in a similar predicament near Gravelly Bay.

      . . . . .

The schr. ALFRED ELLEN, recently asore on Mohawk reef, has been washed off by the action of the sea and drifted on to the main land, where she is a total wreck.
