BAILEY, J.E. Schooner. Home port, Milwaukee. On Oct. 8, 1884 vessel, with a cargo of wood, went ashore at Gill's Pier, Lake Michigan, and became a total loss. Loss to cargo $500. Loss to hull $6,000. Insurance $5,000.

      The schooner J. E. BAILEY has been abandoned as a total loss. She is ashore at Gill's Pier. The Insurance Co's will lose $8,000

Note :- Gill's Pier is likely now a village called Gill's Rock, in Hedgehog Harbor. ?
