SCIOTA Schooner, bound up from Buffalo, capsized April 25, 1848 below Cattaraugus, crew saved themselves in small boat. Vessel righted and towed into Buffalo by Propeller DETROIT.

The schooners SCIOTA and MARY A. MYERS are said to be aground between here and
Silver Creek in the squall Tuesday night. Both vessels were in ballast.

      We learn that the schooners SCIOTA and MARY A. MYERS were capsized in a squall between here and Silver Creek on Tuesday night, between 12 and 1 o'clock. The vessels were both bound up, and light. The crew of the SCIOTA reached the shore in safety in her small boat, but we underatand that one of the crew of the MYERS was drowned.

      The schooner MYERS, which was capsized Tuesday night, was towed into port yesterday afternoon, by the schooner EMILY. The propeller DETROIT also brought in the schooner SCIOTA, which was capsized the same night.
