Schooner ESSEX, commanded by Captain Landsay, went ashore on Friday on North Bass Island, she was owned at Oswego. Vessel abandoned.

DISASTER. -- The schooner ESSEX, of Oswego, was wrecked in the gale of last Thursday night on the N. E. part of North Bass Island. Insured for $1,500 in the North Western Insurance Co.
