The three-masted schooner Cherokee, built at Kingston and launched this spring and sailed direct from Toronto to Liverpool, is reported to have been sold by Capt. Gasklin for about £3000 sterling. She is to be employed in the trade of the coast of Africa. Negotiations are said to be on foot by the purchasers of the Cherokee to have three other similiar vessels built.
