New Channel In The Cedar Rapids - We are happy to intimate that a new channel has been discovered in the Cedar Rapids by Capt. Hilliard, the experienced commander of the steamer Pioneer. The newly discovered channel is upwards of 14 feet deep, and perfectly safe - thus enabling boats of a large draught of water to pass, when before no vessels drawing more than four feet could go down by the old channel. We have understood that it is to be called Hilliard's Channel. - Kingston Chronicle
