      . . . . .

The Schooner DAWN from Toledo, with a cargo of wheat suffered more severely than any vessel that has yet come in. When the squall struck her it carried away her main boom, gallery, &c.,and split her sails terribly, leaving her almost at the mercy of the storm. She leaked badly, and it was with the greatest exertion that she was kept afloat. She reached this port about 10 o'clock yesterday, badly water logged. Vessel and cargo fully insured.

The schooner DAWN left Toledo for this place on Wednesday evening, and came into port yesterday morning leaking badly, with her men working the pumps to keep her afloat. The sea had swept over her, taking away part of her deck load, galley, &c. She also lost her main boom and a large part of her rigging. She is loaded with wheat, which is of course all wet.
