      SUNK.---We learn by telegraph that the steamer DeWITT CLINTON in going into Dunkirk yesterday morning, struck a rock, which caused her to leak badly and she sunk soon after reaching the dock. She was laden with merchandise for the different ports between here and Toledo.

STEAMER "CLINTON" SUNK.---The steamer DeWitt Clinton in attempting to enter Dunkirk harbor Tuesday morning ran upon a rock and sunk. She had on some two hundred tons of merchandise for the ports this side of Detroit. The schooner D.D. BOGART, loaded with brick, is also reported sunk at the same port.

      The stm. DeWITT CLINTON, in entering Dunkirk Harbor, Tuesday morning, struck a rock. She was at first reported here a total loss but we have since learned that she can be got off without much damage, if the weather continues good. She was insured by three offices in Cleveland.

THE "CLINTON"---This steamer, which had her bottom punched out on the stones in Dunkirk Harbor several days since, has been fully repaired, and is once more lying at her dock at the foot of Washington Street, in good condition.
