PROBABLE LOSS OF THE PROPELLER ILLINOIS :- Messrs. Seymour & Wells received a telegram dispatch from their correspondant at Detroit yesterday, stating that the Propeller DELAWARE had arrived, bringing intelligence that the ILLINOIS was ashore on one of the Fox Islands, in Lake Michigan, and that the vessel and cargo would be a total loss. Her cargo consisted of oats, barley and flour. The vessel was owned by Seymour & Wells and the Captain and was partially insured.

NOTE:- the ILLINOIS was released and ran until June 28, 1865 when she was sunk sunk by collision with the DEAN RICHMOND off Point Au Pelee, Lake Erie.

The Propeller ILLINOIS.- Capt. Gibson, of the Propeller OHIO, which is in from Chicago, reports that Capt.Dixon has been to Beaver Islands and procured pumps and men, and was sanguine of getting his vessel off and towing her into Beaver Harbor. We hope he has succeeded.
