A diving bell for the purpose of raising the wreck of the Erie, is constructing at the furnace at Fredonia, by Messrs. McClare & Chapin. The weight of the bell is about three tons, and it is capable of being used to the depth of about eighty feet. It will be ready for use in about two weeks.
