Dismissal Of Mr. Robinson - We have been much surprised at seeing the foregoing letter from Wm. B. Robinson, Esq., to the editor of the Toronto Herald, which is so worded as to lead the public to infer that he has not been dismissed from the situation of Superintendent of the Welland Canal. Having ourselves first given publicity to the fact, we felt no small degree of curiosity to ascertain if the information we then gave, was correct; and such has been the result of our inquiries, that we are enabled to state, in the most positive manner, that Mr. Robinson has no connexion with, or any control whatever over, say thing pertaining to the Welland Canal. If this is denied, we call upon the gentleman to "define his position", or, in other words, to state what duties still remain for him to perform, as "Superintendent" of the canal.
