M. Early (Schooner), capsized, 20 Aug 1883
Description
- Full Text
We have a communication from Captain John Wagley, dated the 20th. inst, which says the schooner M. EARLY lies off the point at Cross Village, Mich., capsized. Also that Captain Left, of the EARLY, while returning from Beaver Islands for help to save his vessel, passed the stern rigging and wheel of a large vessel about three miles north of Skilaglee lighthouse. These vessels probably met their troubles in the gale which swept the lake on the 20th. inst., which, Captain Wagley says, was the worst they have ever had.
