The Schooner ADVANCE, Capt. Paulson, had a very rough time in the late gale. She left Whitehall, lumber laden, for this port Friday morning. She was struck by the gale and sprang a leak, and also lost a considerable portion of her deckload, but succeeded in reaching Chicago on Saturday with her crew all safe. -- Chicago Report.
