New Contracts:The following is a list of the names of individuals and companies, whose tenders for executing the work on the Welland Canal, recently advertised, have been accepted by the Board of Works. It should be observed, however, that, as several of them have neglected to come forward and enter into the necessary arrangements for commencing operations; and others have signified their intention, after a more particular examination of the work, of declining to do so, some material changes must take place before the real contractors can be certainly known.
