Investigation - The committee appointed to inquire into the late unhappy occurrences at Beauharnois, and their causes, is calculated to give every satisfaction to the public, and to render justice to the parties. It consists of Mr. Wetherall, one of the late stipendiary magistrates, Mr. Drummond, and Mr. Fisher - than whom three more respected or more honorable men could not have been selected - but Mr. Fisher being in bad health, and absent, it is understood that Mr. Quesnel will be substituted, who, like the rest, is unexceptionable. - Mont. Trans.
