      A dispatch from Detroit at 1:00 P.M. today says that the schr. THOS. P. SHELDON, bound down, grain loaded, is ashore and full of water, 8 miles below Bar Pt., Lake Erie. She struck the bar outside the mouth of the Detroit River. She commenced to leak badly, and the captain beached her. She had on board 42,000 bushels of wheat, consigned to Cyrus Clarke, of this city. The SHELDON is owned by Mr. Fish of this city.

      The schr. T.P. SHELDON, which went ashore near Bar Pt., has been got off and arrived at Malden yesterday. Her damages are quite extensive and she will be brought to this port for repairs.
