Capt. Joe Nicholson, marine agent for the Detroit Fire and Marine Insurance Co., returned to Detroit Saturday from an inspection visit to the schr. CITY OF TAWAS, ashore at Port Maitland. He reports the vessel lying in an easy position and likely to be got off in 24 or 36 hours, with good weather. There had been no weather up to Saturday in which the wreckers could work. The powerful tug NIAGARA is on the spot, and the TAWAS may be expected in port in a day or two.
