The schr. LIGHT GUARD, owned and sailed by Capt. McCormick, of Mialwaukee, loaded with wheat from Chicago to Oswego, went ashore east of the Cleveland piers Sunday night about 10:00. The crew got ashore safely.

The schr. LIGHT GUARD which went ashore west of the piers at Cleveland, is lying in a comfortable position and will be got off ans soon as the weather permits. There is a few inches of water in her but it is thought not enough to materially damage her cargo.

A dispatch from Cleveland yesterday says the cargo of the LIGHT GUARD, ashore west of the piers there, is all damaged. About 4,000 bushels have been pumped out, and the remainder is being unloaded into lighters.
