Lake Disasters. - Capt. J.R. Dobbins, Secretary of the Board of Lake Underwriters, gives a statement of the marine disasters to Oswego vessels, for the year 1856, from which we make the following abstract: Number of disasters in May, 4; in June, 2; July, 5; August, 2; September, 4; October, 10; November, 13. - Of these disasters the total loss on hulls was $124,750; on cargoes $159,900 - total $284,650. The number of lives lost was six.
