ON A REEF. - The schooner NONPAREIL, from Lake Superior for Cleveland, ran on a reef inside of Middle Island, Lake Huron, on Tuesday, and yet lies there in spite of every exertion to get her off. She is laden with iron ore, and when last heard from had three feet of water in her hold. The wrecking steamer MAGNET has been summoned to her assistance, and left Friday afternoon.

SCHOONER NONPAREIL. - This vessel, which was reported a day or two since on a reef near Middle Island, Lake Huron, has been abandoned. The MAGNET, which went to her assistance, returned on Wednesday evening with her sails and outfit on board, all of which were taken through to Cleveland, where the vessel was owned. It was found that during the interim of the call on the MAGNET the character of the weather had been such as to virtually render her unfit for further service. She was built at Milan in 1856, and has since undergone partial repairs. She was 305 tons burden, old measurement. - Detroit Free Press
