The Maritime History of the Great Lakes
Daily Palladium (Oswego, NY), Tues., Feb. 17, 1857

Description
Full Text

The "thaw" continues unabated. A south wind has prevailed for several days with more or less rain. Yesterday a warm rain prevailed all the afternoon, and he remaining ice and snow melted away, and little of it is left. If this weather is an indication of the future, we shall soon be luxuriating among fresh flowers and blooming foliage.
