Opening of Business! - Departure of the Propeller Kentucky!! - The propeller Kentucky left this port last evening, with nearly Four Hundred Tons of Merchandise! for Toronto. This is the first clearance of the season with a full cargo. The floating ice in the Lake is no obstruction to navigation, and a large fleet is preparing to follow the the Kentucky, with all due despatch. Ho, for Canada and the West!

Oswego has opened her ports, and the roar of her artillery will resound to the frozen barriers of ice-bound Buffalo, drowned the stifled groans of expiring competition, and the lingering echoes will died away in requiems o'er the grave vanquished "discrimination!!!"
