BURNING OF A TUG. - About 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon, the steam tug N. P. SPRAGUE, Captain Burgess, lying in the slip near the Lake Huron Dock, took fire from some unknown cause, near the water jacket and before the fire could be subdued, was completely gutted. She was scuttled as soon as the fire was discovered; but there was not sufficient depth of water to accomplish much good. Her hull is good but her upper works &c., are so damaged as to almost require rebuilding entirely.
