      COLLISION. - A collision took place on Thursday evening, a short distance below Bar Point, between the schooners MIRANDA and W.J. WHALING, the former bound down, and the latter up, resulting in more or less damage to both vessels. The WHALING had her mainsail badly torn, and the MIRANDA her jib-boom carried away. The WHALING is here for repairs. The MIRANDA returned to Malden. - Detroit Free Press, 6th.
