Full Text

On Monday evening last, an attempt was made to capture the British schooner CAROLINE, lying at the port of Rochester. Eleven men went aboard the vessel -- ordered the Captain and his crew below --- made sail --- worked their way to the mouth of the river, and then unfortunately run aground, and were compelled to leave her. The Mayor of Rochester has offered a reward of $500 for their apprehension.
