      The wind commenced blowing violently from the Southwest on Saturday morning about 2 o'clock, and the water rose in the Creek to within a few inches of the height of the great freshet of 1835, carrying everything before it, brigs, schooners, steamboats, canal boats and wharves. My dock is all gone,not a stick to be seen. The schooner VICTORY laid alongside of it, but now lies high and dry on the flats above. Cargo flour and staves. Below is a list of a part of the destruction of property.
Steamboats MICHIGAN and VERMILLION, high and dry
Brig ERIE, high and dry with 200 tons of merchandise
Brig INDIANA, high and dry with a full cargo of produce
Schooner BANCROFT a complete wreck.
Schooner WYANDOT, badly injured, cargoes of BANCROFT and WYANDOT saved, partially damaged.
Schooner BUFFALO, lost a deck load of staves
Schooners WARREN and CAMBRIA both lost part of their deck load, staves.
Schooner FAVORITE, lost 260 barrels flour, thrown overboard.
Schooner MARTHA FREME, damaged, cargo of wheat (part)

One of the vessels omitted on Saturday was the Schooner WYANDOT, which has suffered considerably having her bow and bulwarks all destroyed and her rigging much injured. --- Buffalo Commercial, Monday. (part)
