Grand River Canal - We are happy to have it in our power to say, that the contract for the construction of the canal, on the Grand River, has been taken, and the work is expected to commence immediately. The contractor is Mr. John Hunter, of this town. We look for better times soon; as the public works, which will shortly be in progress in this vicinity, must cause a good deal of bustle, and a more free circulation of cash, which every body knows is very much desired just now. - Brant. Cour.
