We regret extremely that the fine Royal Mail Steamer NIAGARA, on her downward trip on Monday evening last, got aground in the harbor of Port Hope, during a tremendous westerly gale, where she still remains. Hopes, however, are entertained that through the energies of her experienced commander, Captain Sutherland, she will be speedily got off. -- Kingston Chronicle (part)
