Detroit.---The schooner D.G. FORT, coal laden and stranded at Point au Pelee, may be released.

      Wreck Notes.---Underwriters report that the schooner WHITE STAR, ashore at Pelee Island, has been joined by the D.G. FORT. Both have wheat from Detropit for Oswego. Captain McLeod is organizing an expedition at Detroit to go to their release.

      Schooner D.G. FORT of 323 tons. Built 1869. Home port, Oswego. Owned by McCarthy. Classed A 2 and a half. On November 24, 1887 the vessel with a cargo of coal, went ashore on Lake Erie. Property loss, hull $2,000.

Detroit.---The schooner D.G. FORT, coal laden, went ashore on Pelee Island, and the tug CRUSADER and the steamer SAGINAW went to her rescue. The passed up with her on Tuesday and she unloaded at Detroit. Captain George Mcleod, adjuster for the hull pool, says she is damaged but little.
