The Maritime History of the Great Lakes
S. Clement (Barge), adrift, 1 Nov 1887

Description
Full Text

Wreck Notes.---The barge S. CLEMENT, which left Buffalo in the BELLE CROSS's tow with some heavy boilers and part of a load of coal for Saginaw, has been discovered adrift off Long Point Cut. Her history for the past few days is something of a mystery, for to all appearance she has been ashore and been released. Whether there is anybody on board is not known.
