MARINE.----The steamer FASHION, bound up, and the schooner ATLAS, with cargo,
bound down, came in collision night before last, this side of Erie. The schooner had her bowsprit and knight-heads carried away, and received other damage. The injury received by the FASHION has not yet been ascertained. The captain of the ATLAS, immediately after the collision requested to be towed into Erie, but the captain of the FASHION replied it was impossible, as she was leaking badly.

MARINE.---The Erie Gazette attributes the collision between the steamer FASHION and the schooner ATLAS, of which mention was made in our paper of yesterday, to carelessness on the part of the officers of the ATLAS, which it is said had not taken the precaution to put up a light at the customary place. The FASHION was considerably damaged, but is undergoing repairs, and will be out in a few days.
