The Government dredge FRONTENAC working at Sackett's harbor recently brought up a cannon of ancient design, five feet long, 20 inch butt, and 16 inch muzzle, with nine inch bore. It is reinforced with iron bands and weighed 1,500 pounds. It is believed to be a relic of the war of 1812.
