A correspondent of the Toronto Colonist, at Port Stanley, under date of the 8th instant, writes as follows: The propeller SCOTLAND is considered a total wreck. She has 6.300 bu. wheat, 42 cks, ashes, 16 bu. timothy seed and 256 kegs of butter now in her. The wheat is spoiled, also the ashes and seed; the butter may be good. From the bad state of the harbor, the SCOTLAND was obliged to put outside the bar to complete loading, and wanted, when the gale came on, 2.000 bush to make up her cargo. With her present loading, she drew seven feet water. Her loss is solely attributed to the insuffiecient state of the harbor of Port Stanley. which, it is confidently stated by parties well acquainted with the locality, could be remedied by dredging, at a cost of little more that 100 pounds. The JESSIE was lost for the same reason. There are two vessel ashore on Long Point, not known. The BOLTON, of Oswego, not heard of; nor the EMMA a small boat, 40 tons, of this port. Fears are entertained of both being lost.
