THE BRECK LOST. - The loss of the schooner M.L. BRECK was reported from Sand Beach, Mich., where the crew of the vessel arrived on a tug Friday. She was abandoned off Point Clarke, near Goderich, Ont. She was loaded with lumber and had lost her deck load and was full of water. The tug captain says the vessel is a total wreck. The BRECK was well-known at this port, having brought several cargoes here. One trip she ran aground through getting out of the channel and it was necessary to secure DREDGE No. 9 to dig her out. Her last trip to this port was with a load of coal for the C. P. R. in 1892. She was owned by John McGibbon, of Sarnia.
