The schr. CONTEST, while on her passage up Lake Erie, last Sunday, sprung a leak. No less than 2 and a half feet of water were discovered in her hold, before the Captain was aware of what had taken place. By the greatest exertion she was enabled to reach this port. She goes immediately into Clark's drydock for repairs. She has part of a cargo on board for Milwaukee.
