At the islands in Lake Erie the gale of last week was unusually severe and considerable damage was done to vessel property. The scow Louisa dragged her anchor and brought up the telegraph cable connecting the Islands with Sandusky. The wreck of the schooner Exchange, which went ashore near the Kelley Island lime docks in May last, went to pieces, her masts fell, while nearly everything floated ashore. It was intended to raise and repair her early this season. . . .
