We are indebted to Mr. Whiting, the first officer of the ST. LOUIS, for the following memoranda:
Left Detroit, Friday April 18. - In port, schr. M. HILLIARD, fully loaded, from Chicago, ashore on Fighting Island:

      Monday, April 21, 1845

We learn from Mr. Perkins, of the WAYNE, that the M. HILLARD was not ashore on Fighting Island; she was got off shortly after the ST. LOUIS left.
